The band Zeelion was formed around April 1997 by Lenny, Sudden and Jonathan. In May we sat down starting to work on the material we all had came up with. After a couple of weeks we had 13 songs.

Then we had to find some more members. On keyboard we chose Mats Olsson who is a member of Lennys other band Zello (progressive rock but with no guitars), and on drums Fredo who had been a member of Schizophrenic Circus that was a hardrock band Lenny had a couple of years ago.

Zeelions first album was recorded in the old location of Studio Underground in Västerås. It took about one and a half month summer 1997. July and August. As we hadn't rehearsed much before, we

rehearsed and arranged most of the songs in the studio while we were recording. It was made in sort of a rush. We didn't want to wait around and wanted to get something out as soon as possible.

Then the tape was sent out. The Japaneese company Avex was the fastes to answer and negotiations was started. In January 1998 Zeelion signed the contract and on the 18th of April the album was released in Japan.

In Europe it took some more time. Zeelion had been through negotiations with 4-5 companies but as we started to work on album number two we just got tired of the process, but finally Point Music/Aor Heaven contacted the band, fall '98, with a deal better than the rest so we decided to give it a chance.

At the moment Zeelion is working on the recordings of the second album.
